Acquisition: Source Selection for the National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System - Conical Microwave Imager/Sounder

This audit is one in a series performed at the request of the Office of Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics due to concerns that the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Acquisition and Management, Darlene Druyun, may have used undue influence to award eight contracts. One contract referred for audit awarded the National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System Conical Microwave Imager/Sounder to Boeing Satellite Systems. That contract is addressed in this report.
