This paper is an extension of Dickmann and Weissinger’s theory of nozzle propeller systems for the case where the circulation distribution varies along the blade radius. For this case a numerical method was developed and detailed calculations were made for circulation distribution increasing linearly towards the blade tips for the nozzle series of L / D = 0.5 . A test was also made of applying the method developed to the practical design of nozzle propeller systes and experimental verification of the calculated results was attempted. For this purpose one nozzle propeller system was designed and tested in the towing tank and cavitation tunnel.
