Focusing on a suburban railway to be planned, an integrated optimization model related to the level of operating and planning is proposed. Specifically, an integrated mixed-integer linear programming model is formulated by introducing a set of variables presenting the occupied sequence of all trains in one segment, which solves the potential conflict between the trains in the segments and stations, and involves the rolling stock circulation problem and station track allocation problem. By using the GUROBI solver, the optimization results for two operating modes on a line are produced. The experimental results show that the effectiveness and efficiency of the model are verified since an approximate optimal solution at a given gap can always be produced in an acceptable time.
