With the continuous improvement of the manufacturing level of EMUs in China, as the related technologies to ensure the safe operation of EMUs are also continuously improved in practice, the design of the grounding system of EMUs is one of the very important contents. Excessive ground current will cause the traction current of the EMU to flow back poorly, which will bring potential safety hazards to the normal operation of the EMU. Therefore, studying the distribution law of the grounding current of the EMU in the grounding system of the EMU is very important for predicting the grounding performance of the EMU. This article briefly introduces the EMU grounding system, establishes a circuit model of the whole vehicle grounding system by using circuit simulation software and analyzes the grounding current distribution characteristics and laws.
