An apparatus for providing reliable line traction spooling for hoists, winches, and other pulling and/or lifting devices is disclosed. In one embodiment, such an apparatus includes a motor and a drum rotated by the motor to draw in or let out a line from the drum. The drum includes a groove formed in an outer surface thereof to accommodate the line. A roller is provided to place pressure on the line against the drum. A roller consists of at least one indentation or protrusion on an outer surface to assist the drum in spooling the line onto and off of the drum. In certain embodiments, the roller is patterned in order to improve line traction. In other embodiments, a line is compressible in order to improve line traction.

La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant de fournir un bobinage de traction de ligne fiable pour des grues, des treuils et d'autres dispositifs de traction et/ou de levage. Dans un mode de réalisation, un tel appareil comprend un moteur et un tambour entraîné en rotation par le moteur pour entrer une ligne dans le tambour ou l'en faire sortir. Le tambour comprend une rainure formée dans une de ses surfaces externes pour recevoir la ligne. Un rouleau est disposé pour appliquer une pression sur la ligne contre le tambour. Un rouleau comprend au moins une indentation ou une partie saillante sur une surface externe pour aider le tambour à enrouler la ligne sur le tambour et à la dérouler dudit tambour. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le rouleau est configuré afin d'améliorer la traction de ligne. Dans d'autres modes de réalisation, une ligne peut être comprimée afin d'améliorer la traction de ligne.
