The display unit projects and reflects, onto a light-transmitting display medium, light expressing an image, to allow the image to be viewed, as a virtual image, by a user. The control unit performs first stereoscopic display processing for causing light respectively expressing a left-eye image and a right-eye image of an object to be displayed, to be projected in the display unit. As a result of this processing, the object to be displayed can be stereoscopically viewed in a three-dimensional image space by the user. Furthermore, the control unit performs second stereoscopic display processing for causing light respectively expressing a left-eye image and a right-eye image of one section included in a pattern, to be projected in the display unit, said pattern heading toward the object to be displayed or toward the vicinity of the object to be display, from a position nearer in the image space in the depth direction than the object to be displayed. This second stereoscopic display processing is performed with respect to each section of the pattern in sequence from the near side to the far side in the depth direction. As a result, the pattern can be stereoscopically viewed in the image space by the user.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage qui est équipé d'une unité d'affichage et d'une unité de commande. En outre, l'unité de commande effectue un second traitement d'affichage stéréoscopique pour provoquer la projection dans l'unité d'affichage de la lumière exprimant respectivement une image d'œil gauche et une image d'œil droit d'une section comprise dans un motif, ledit motif se dirigeant vers l'objet à afficher ou vers le voisinage de l'objet à afficher, à partir d'une position plus proche dans l'espace d'image dans la direction de la profondeur que l'objet à afficher. Ce second traitement d'affichage stéréoscopique est effectué par rapport à chaque section du motif en séquence depuis le côté proche vers le côté éloigné dans la direction de la profondeur. En conséquence, le motif peut être visualisé par l'utilisateur de façon stéréoscopique dans l'espace d'image.
