The present invention relates to a method, a computer program, an apparatus, a vehicle, and a network component for controlling maneuvering within a platoon. Embodiments provide the method, the computer program, the apparatus, the vehicle, and the network component for controlling maneuvering within the platoon of a plurality of vehicles. The method (10) for controlling maneuvering within the platoon of the plurality of vehicles (100; 102) comprises the following steps of: receiving (12) information related to maneuvering for the platoon; determining (14) the information regarding a fuel efficiency of maneuvering based on fuel consumption for maneuvering from an initial state to a maneuvering target state, maintaining the maneuvering target state, and returning from the maneuvering target state to the initial state; and determining (16) whether to perform maneuvering based on the information regarding the fuel efficiency.
