The present invention relates to a control system using a gesture input in a vehicle and a method thereof and, more specifically, to a system for controlling the execution of a function of a vehicle by receiving a gesture of a vehicle occupant. The control system using a gesture input in a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: an input unit receiving a gesture of a user; a memory in which a control program using the gesture input in the vehicle is built in; and a processor executing a control program. The processor sends an instruction to execute different functions for the same gesture of the user according to a usage aspect.

본 발명은 차량 내 제스처 입력을 이용한 제어 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 차량 탑승자의 제스처를 입력 받아 차량의 기능 실행을 제어하는 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 차량 내 제스처 입력을 이용한 제어 시스템은 사용자의 제스처를 수신하는 입력부와, 차량 내 제스처 입력을 이용한 제어 프로그램이 내장된 메모리 및 제어 프로그램을 실행시키는 프로세서를 포함하고, 프로세서는 사용 양태에 따라 동일한 사용자의 제스처에 대해 상이한 기능을 실행하도록 하는 명령을 전송한다.
