The present invention relates to a parking control system of a vehicle, and a control method thereof, which can detect a stopper to increase a parking control performance of an SPA system during an automatic parking control. To this ends, according to one aspect of the present invention, provided are the parking control system of a vehicle and the control method thereof, which can detect an obstacle such as a graveled road or the stopper through an ultrasonic wave signal to properly perform a brake control and a driving control of the vehicle during the automatic parking control. Moreover, at least one reference value of the ultrasonic wave signal for detecting the obstacle can be set to prevent malfunction from being caused under an environmental condition of a normal road. In addition, when the stopper is detected, the parking control performance of the SPA system can be increased while preventing collision with the stopper.
본 발명은 자동 주차 제어 중에 스토퍼를 검출하여 SPA 시스템의 주차 제어 성능을 높일 수 있는 차량의 주차 제어 시스템 및 그 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 본 발명의 일 측면에 의한 차량의 주차 제어 시스템 및 그 방법은, 자동 주차 제어 중에 초음파 신호를 통해 장애물(자갈로 또는 스토퍼)을 검출하여 차량의 제동 및 구동 제어를 적절하게 실시할 수 있으며, 장애물을 검출하기 위한 초음파 신호의 기준값을 하나 이상으로 설정하여 일반 도로의 환경 조건에서는 오동작이 발생하지 않도록 하고, 스토퍼 검출 시에는 스토퍼와 충돌을 방지하면서 SPA 시스템의 주차 제어 성능을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한다.
