The present invention relates to a power plug, and more specifically to a power plug for charging an electric vehicle. Provided are a power plug for an electric vehicle having a built-in temperature sensor and a European type terminal, and a construction method thereof, wherein the temperature sensor is capable of detecting heat generated in the plug and blocking a current flowing through the plug when the temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature. The power plug for an electric vehicle comprises: a plug portion including a plurality of circular plug pins configured to be inserted into a power outlet; a sensor disposed adjacent to the plug portion and sensing heat of the plug portion, a housing for gripping the plug portion and supporting the sensor therein; and a cable having one end thereof inserted into the housing and having a wire inside connected to the plug portion and a portion of the outer circumferential surface thereof fixed to the housing. The housing has a sensor insertion hole integrally formed with a sensor insertion hole in the inner body. The sensor is interposed in the sensor insertion hole of the housing so as to be positioned between the plug pins.
본 발명은 전원 플러그에 관한 것으로서, 특히, 전기 자동차의 충전용 전원 플러그로서, 전원 콘센트에 삽입되도록 구성된 복수의 원형 플러그 핀을 포함하는 플러그부, 상기 플러그부와 인접하게 배치되고, 플러그부의 열을 감지하는 센서, 상기 플러그부를 파지하고, 내부에서 상기 센서를 지지하는 하우징 및 상기 하우징 내로 일측 단부가 진입되고, 상기 플러그부와 연결되는 전선을 내측에 보유하며, 외주면의 일부가 상기 하우징에 고정되는 케이블을 포함하여 이루어지고, 상기 하우징은 내부 몸체에 센서 삽입공이 일체로 형성되며, 상기 센서는 상기 플러그 핀 사이에 위치되도록 상기 하우징의 센서 삽입공 내에 개재되는 것을 특징으로 하며, 구체적으로는 센서가 플러그 내에서 열이 발생하는 것을 감지하여 일정 온도를 넘으면 플러그에 흐르는 전류를 차단할 수 있는 온도 센서와 유럽형 단자가 내장된 전기 자동차용 전원 플러그 및 그 구성 방법을 제공한다.
