Disclosed are a train control apparatus and a method thereof. A train control apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment includes a tag reading error checking part which checks the generation of errors in reading tags executed in the train at a specific point which the moving train passes; an image receiving part which receives the image of a scene photographed by a photographing device arranged in the train to photograph the scene corresponding to the specific point; an image analysis part which analyses the image to detect a mark in the image; and a train operation control part which controls the movement of the train according to the result of the analysis.

    열차 제어 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 예시적인 실시예에 따른 열차 제어장치는, 이동 중인 열차가 통과하는 특정 위치에서 상기 열차에서 수행된 태그 판독에 오류가 발생함을 확인하는 태그 판독 오류 확인부; 상기 특정 위치에 대응하는 장면을 촬상하도록 상기 열차에 배치된 촬상 장치로부터 상기 장면이 촬상된 영상을 수신하는 영상 수신부; 상기 영상에서 마커를 검출하기 위하여 상기 영상을 분석하는 영상 분석부; 및 상기 분석의 결과에 따라 상기 열차의 이동을 제어하는 열차 운행 제어부를 포함한다.
