Provided are methods and systems for operating an electromagnetic pulse disconnection assembly for selectively engaging two rotating components of a vehicle drivetrain. A disconnection assembly is needed, which is not powered by vacuum diverted from an engine of the vehicle, as modern engines are being developed to reduce vacuum production and remove vacuum lines for powering peripheral devices such as separated units. An electromagnetic pulse disconnection assembly operates via pulses of electrical current and includes an electromagnetic coil for translating a clutch ring assembly and a latching ring assembly to selectively couple two rotating components.
차량 구동트레인의 두 회전 구성요소들을 선택적으로 맞물리게 하는 전자기 펄스 분리 조립체를 동작시키는 방법들 및 시스템들이 제공된다. 현대의 엔진들은 분리부들과 같은 주변 디바이스들에 동력을 공급하기 위해 진공 발생을 감소시키고 진공 라인들을 제거하도록 개발되고 있으므로, 차량의 엔진으로부터 전환되어 오는 진공에 의해 동력을 공급받지 않는 분리 조립체가 필요하다. 전자기 펄스 분리 조립체는 전류의 펄스를 통해 동작하고 두 회전 구성요소들을 선택적으로 결합하기 위해 클러치 링 조립체 및 래칭 링 조립체를 병진 운동시키기 위한 전자기 코일을 포함하여 제공된다.
