본 발명은 차량의 파워 슬라이딩 도어 제어 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 탑승 의도를 표출하기 위해 버튼을 누르거나 발을 흔들거나 하는 운전자의 액션 없이도 운전자의 탑승 의도를 정확하게 판단하여 차량의 파워 슬라이딩 도어를 오픈 함으로써, 운전자에게 스마트한 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 차량의 파워 슬라이딩 도어 제어 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은 차량의 슬라이딩 도어 제어 장치에 있어서, 운전자의 탑승 의도 판단에 이용되는 기준정보를 저장하는 데이터베이스; 운전자의 스마트 키를 감지하는 스마트키 감지부; 차량의 AV(Around View) 영상을 획득하는 AV 영상 획득부; 상기 스마트키 감지부가 운전자의 스마트 키를 감지하면 상기 AV 영상 획득부에 의해 획득된 AV 영상에서 추출한 신발의 방향정보와 상기 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 기준정보를 비교하여 운전자의 탑승 의도를 판단하는 제어부; 및 상기 제어부의 제어하에 차량의 파워 슬라이딩 도어를 개폐하는 도어 구동부를 포함한다.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling a power sliding door of a vehicle and a method thereof. Provided are an apparatus for controlling a power sliding door of a vehicle, capable of providing a smart service to a driver by accurately determining a boarding intention of the driver without an action of the driver such as pressing a button or shaking a foot to express the boarding intention so as to open the power sliding door of the vehicle, and a method thereof. To this end, according to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling a sliding door of the vehicle includes: a database for storing reference information used to determine a boarding intention of a driver; a smart key sensing unit for sensing a smart key of the driver; an around-view (AV) image acquisition unit for acquiring an AV image of the vehicle; a control unit for comparing direction information of a shoe extracted from the AV image acquired by the AV image acquisition unit with the reference information stored in the database when the smart key sensing unit senses the smart key of the driver to determine the boarding intention of the driver; and a door driving unit for opening and closing a power sliding door of the vehicle under control of the control unit.
