To provide an airbag device which reduces collision damage during a lateral collision.SOLUTION: An airbag device is provided at a vehicle having A pillars 60, B pillars 70, C pillars 80 which are sequentially provided from the front side at a vehicle body side surface part; doors 30, 40 which are provided at door openings between the respective pillars in an openable and closable manner; and side sills 50 each provided along lower edges of the doors. The airbag device includes: an airbag 100 which deploys from a storage part 51 provided at the lower side of the side sill to an outer area as seen in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle body side surface part including the doors according to a warning sign of a collision of an object and which has a first air chamber 110 in which a main part is disposed at the front relative to the B pillar, and a second air chamber 120 in which a main part is disposed at the rear relative to the B pillar; and a pressure control unit 210 which increases or decreases an inner pressure of at least one of the first air chamber and the second air chamber according to a predicted collision form predicted by a collision form prediction part 220 independently of an inner pressure in the other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】側面衝突時における衝突被害を抑制したエアバッグ装置を提供する。【解決手段】車体側面部に前方側から順次設けられたＡピラー６０、Ｂピラー７０、Ｃピラー８０と、各ピラー間のドア開口に開閉可能に設けられたドア３０，４０と、ドアの下縁部に沿ったサイドシル５０とを有する車両に設けられるエアバッグ装置を、物体の衝突の前兆に応じてサイドシルの下方側に設けられた収容部５１からドアを含む車体側面部の車幅方向外側の領域に展開するとともに、主要部分がＢピラーよりも前方に配置される第１気室１１０と、主要部分がＢピラーより後方に配置される第２気室１２０とを有するエアバッグ１００と、衝突態様予測部２２０が予測した衝突態様に応じて、第１気室、第２気室の少なくとも一方の内圧を、他方の内圧とは独立して増加又は減少させる圧力制御部２１０とを備える構成とする。【選択図】図６
