To provide a display that has an improved contrast ratio, and a movable body that includes the display.SOLUTION: A display comprises: a first display panel 12 that includes a plurality of first sub pixels arranged in a grid-like manner; a second display panel 13 that includes a plurality of second sub pixels arranged in a grid-like manner at a pitch equal to that of the plurality of first sub pixels; and a controller 14; and a detection device that detects the position of at least one of the left eye and the right eye of a user and outputs information on the detected position of the eye to the controller 14. In the normal direction of the first display panel 12, each of the plurality of first sub pixels overlaps any one of the plurality of second sub pixels. The controller 14 calculates an image display area and an image non-display area based on the information on the position of the eye detected by the detection device, displays an image based on pixel data on the first display panel 12, and adjusts the plurality of second sub pixels corresponding to the image non-display area to have the darkest gradation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

【課題】コントラスト比を改善した表示装置および該表示装置を備える移動体を提供する。【解決手段】格子状に配列された複数の第１のサブピクセルを備える第１の表示パネル１２、複数の第１のサブピクセルと等ピッチで格子状に配列された複数の第２のサブピクセルを備える第２の表示パネル１３、コントローラ１４、利用者の左眼および右眼の少なくとも一方の位置を検出し、検出した眼の位置情報をコントローラ１４に出力する検出装置を備える。第１の表示パネル１２の法線方向において、複数の第１のサブピクセルの各々は、複数の第２のサブピクセルのいずれかと重ね合う。コントローラ１４は、検出装置が検出した眼の位置情報に基づいて、画像表示領域と画像非表示領域とを算出し、第１の表示パネル１２に画像データに基づく画像を表示させ、画像非表示領域に対応する複数の第２のサブピクセルを最も暗い階調とする。【選択図】図１
