To provide a waterproof case for an automobile which enables cost required for the assembly work thereof to be reduced, which can be reassembled, and has excellent heat resistance and waterproof performance, and a photocurable silicone composition or silicone gel applicable to the waterproof case.SOLUTION: A waterproof case 1 for an automobile includes: a case body 2 comprising a housing space 21 for housing a housing object, and an opening 22 connected to the housing space 21; and a lid portion 3 that is attached to the case body 2 and closes the opening 22. A sealing material 4 comprised of adhesive silicone gel comprising at least one SOx group out of a SO group, a SO2 group, and a SO3 group is interposed between the case body 2 and the lid portion 3. Further, a receiving portion 31 is provided in at least one of the case body 2 and the lid portion 3, and an engaging convex portion 23 latched to the receiving portion 31 is provided at a position corresponding to the receiving portion 31 in the case body 2 and the lid portion 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】組立作業に要するコストを低減することができ、再組み立てが可能であり、耐熱性及び防水性能に優れた自動車用防水ケース、この防水ケースに適用可能な光硬化型シリコーン組成物またはシリコーンゲルを提供する。【解決手段】自動車用防水ケース１は、被収容物を収容するための収容空間２１と、収容空間２１内に連なる開口２２とを備えたケース本体部２と、ケース本体部２に取り付けられ、開口２２を閉鎖する蓋部３と、を有している。ケース本体部２と蓋部３との間には、ＳＯ基、ＳＯ２基及びＳＯ３基のうち少なくとも１種のＳＯｘ基を備え粘着性を有するシリコーンゲルからなるシール材４が介在している。また、ケース本体部２及び蓋部３のうち少なくとも一方には受け入れ部３１が設けられており、ケース本体部２及び蓋部３における受け入れ部３１に対応する位置には、受け入れ部３１に係止された係合凸部２３が設けられている。【選択図】図１
