To determine correctly, a state of a road surface, by canceling affection which is caused by load movement of a vehicle body in turning in a lateral direction.SOLUTION: There is provided a determination device for determining a state of a road surface on which a vehicle travels. The determination device acquires rotation speed of a tire attached to the vehicle sequentially, acquires lateral acceleration applied to the vehicle sequentially, then, according to the lateral acceleration acquired sequentially, selecting and acquiring sequentially any one out of a group including a first slip ratio which is a slip ratio of a tire calculated on the basis of rotation speed of the left tires, and a second slip ratio which is a slip ratio of a tire calculated on the basis of rotation speed of the right tires, out of the rotation speed of the tire acquired sequentially, then acquires sequentially, drive force of the vehicle, then on the basis of many data sets of the slip ratio and drive force as a regression coefficient indicating a linear relationship between the slip ratio and the drive force, calculates inclination of the slip ratio to the drive force, and on the basis of the inclination, determines the state of the road surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

【課題】旋回中の車体の左右方向の荷重移動により生じる影響をキャンセルし、路面の状態を正しく判定する。【解決手段】車両が走行する路面の状態を判定する判定装置が提供される。判定装置は、車両に装着されたタイヤの回転速度を順次取得し、車両に加わる横方向加速度を順次取得し、順次取得される横方向加速度に応じて、順次取得されるタイヤの回転速度うち、左のタイヤの回転速度に基づき算出されるタイヤのスリップ比である第１スリップ比と、右のタイヤの回転速度に基づき算出されるタイヤのスリップ比である第２スリップ比とを含む群からいずれか１つを順次選択して取得し、車両の駆動力を順次取得し、スリップ比と駆動力との線形関係を表す回帰係数として、スリップ比及び駆動力の多数のデータセットに基づいて、駆動力に対するスリップ比の傾きを算出し、傾きに基づいて、路面の状態を判定する。【選択図】図３
