To provide a method capable of easily evaluating a cornering characteristic of a tire based on an equivalent cornering coefficient.SOLUTION: The method for evaluating a cornering characteristic of a tire includes: a first step S1 for obtaining a cornering power CP and a self-aligning torque power SATP of the tire; a second step S2 for obtaining a relational expression between the cornering power CP and the self-aligning torque power SATP, and an equivalent cornering coefficient C of the tire; and a third step S3 for displaying the cornering power CP, the self-aligning torque power SATP, and the equivalent cornering coefficient C in one graph.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
