To enhance security with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A construction machine includes: a traveling body; an operating machine which is connected to the traveling body; an operation region provided in the traveling body; a drive control unit which controls operation of the operating machine and the traveling body; an operation unit which is disposed in the operation region and operates the operating machine; an operation seat which is disposed in the operation region and on which an operator is seated; a connection terminal which is disposed in the operation region and is connected to a portable terminal; a vehicle body control unit which communicates with the portable terminal and controls each unit; and a storage unit which stores authentication information. When the portable terminal is connected to the connection terminal, the vehicle body control unit collates authentication information transmitted from the portable terminal with the authentication information stored in the storage unit. When both are matched, an action for an input operation can be executed. When both are not matched, the operation of the operating machine and the traveling body are prohibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
