To provide a railway vehicle body structure of a double skin structure which has the strength to withstand a pressure load caused by pressure difference between the inside and outside of a vehicle, and can reduce weight.SOLUTION: A double skin structure of a railway vehicle body structure comprises: a harmonica-shaped structure part whose closed space is quadrangular when seen in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle; and a truss type structure part which is adjacent to the harmonica-shaped structure part and whose closed space is triangular when seen in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. In the double skin structure, at least in one of regions among a region between a center part of a roof body structure in the vehicle width direction and a center part of a pole plate in the vehicle body circumferential direction, a region between the center part of the pole plate and a pier panel part of a side body structure, and a region between the pier panel part of the side body structure and side beams, reduced thickness parts are formed in which dimensions of body structure thicknesses are reduced by arranging inside walls near to outside of the vehicle compared with neighboring regions adjacent to the reduced thickness parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

【課題】車内外の気圧差により作用する圧力荷重に耐えられる強度を有し、且つ、軽量化を図ることが可能なダブルスキン構造の鉄道車両構体を提供する。【解決手段】鉄道車両構体のダブルスキン構造は、車両長手方向から見て、閉空間が四角形であるハモニカ型構造部と、車両長手方向から見て、ハモニカ型構造部に隣接し、閉空間が三角形であるトラス型構造部とを有する。ダブルスキン構造のうち、屋根構体の車幅方向の中央部と軒桁の車体の周方向の中央部との間、軒桁の中央部と側構体の吹寄せ部との間、及び、側構体の吹寄せ部と側梁との間のうちの少なくともいずれかの領域に、当該領域に隣接する隣接領域に比べて内壁部が車外側に配置されることにより構体厚み寸法が縮小された厚み縮小部が形成されている。【選択図】図１
