PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tire rubber composition with its fuel economy, fracture characteristics and workability improved in a balanced manner.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for producing a tire rubber composition that includes a first step of inputting a rubber component, silica and a silane coupling agent for kneading, to obtain a first kneaded product; a second step for further kneading the first kneaded product, to obtain a second kneaded product; and a third step for inputting the second kneaded product and a vulcanization agent for kneading, to obtain an unvulcanized rubber composition. In the first step, a reaction treatment for kneading the rubber component, the silica and the silane coupling agent while maintaining a reaction temperature set in a range of 150-170°C, is performed until the following formulas (1) and (2) are satisfied: formula (1) ΔG*t/ΔG*0×100<80 and formula (2) Vt/V0×100<80.SELECTED DRAWING: None
