PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an occupant protection function different from that of a present automobile when a vehicle like an automobile is in automatic operation.SOLUTION: An occupant protection device 10 of an automobile 1 includes: a seat 4 on which an occupant sits in a vehicle; a pendulum structure 17 provided between the seat 4 and a floor of the vehicle, and supporting the seat 4 to swing in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle while the seat is inclined; and a control part 13 that controls whether to operate the pendulum structure 17. At least during quick turning, when excessive acceleration equal to or more than a prescribed value acts in the vehicle width direction, or during steering control in automatic operation, the control part 13 operates the pendulum structure 17 or allows it to operate, and in cases other than them, prohibits operation of the pendulum structure 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】自動車といった車両では、たとえば自動運転中において現在の自動車とは異なる乗員保護機能を持たせる必要性がある。【解決手段】自動車１の乗員保護装置１０は、車両内で乗員が着座するシート４と、シート４と車両の床との間に設けられ、シート４が傾きながら車両の車幅方向へ振れるよう支持する振り子構造１７と、振り子構造１７の作動の可否を制御する制御部１３と、を有する。制御部１３は、少なくとも、急旋回時、車幅方向に所定値以上の過大な加速度が作用する時、または自動運転中の転舵制御時に、振り子構造１７を作動させ又は作動を許可し、それ以外の場合には、振り子構造１７の作動を禁止する。【選択図】図４
