PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a machine parking space by making an inverted pendulum type vehicle compact in the parking state of the inverted pendulum type vehicle inclining forward.SOLUTION: The oscillation center (A) of a tail wheel arm (110) is set in an area on the rotation center (C1) side of the tail wheel (126) from an arcuate line (AL) passing through the center (B) of the disk support shaft (46), having, as a center, the rotation center (C1) of the tail wheel (126) in the upright position in a central plane of the vehicle body (12), and in an area above a bisector (L3) between an imaginary straight line (L1) connecting the rotation center (C1) of the tail wheel (126) in the upright position and the center (B) of the disk support shaft (46) and the imaginary straight line (L2) connecting the rotation center (C2) of an imaginary tail wheel (X) in the forward inclining position and the center (B) of the disk support shaft (46), in a central plane of the vehicle (10) on a condition that separate distances from the center (B) of the disk support shaft (46) are equal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】前傾状態で駐機する倒立振子型車両の駐機状態での倒立振子型車両のコンパクト化を図り、駐機スペースを削減すること。【解決手段】尾輪アーム(110)の揺動中心(A)を、前記車体(12)の中心面において前記起立状態における前記尾輪(126)の回転中心(C1)を中心として前記ディスク支持軸(46)の中心(B)を通る円弧線(AL)より前記尾輪(126)の回転中心(C1)の側の領域で、且つディスク支持軸(46)の中心(B)からの離間距離が同一と云う条件で、前記車体(10)の中心面において、前記起立状態における前記尾輪(126)の回転中心(C1)と前記ディスク支持軸(46)の中心(B)とを結ぶ仮想の直線(L1)と、前記前傾状態における仮想の尾輪(X)の回転中心(C2)と前記ディスク支持軸(46)の中心(B)とを結ぶ仮想の直線(L2)との間の二等分線(L3)よりも上側の領域内に設定する。【選択図】図5
