PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unmanned underwater transportation means (UUV) having multi-axis control and the ability to simultaneously control movement in multiple degrees of freedom, although a conventional unmanned underwater transportation means (UUV) only has limited maneuverability.SOLUTION: A propulsion system has an inlet formed in a body, and the inlet facilitates fluid (for example, water) being drawn into a UUV from the fluid surrounding the outside of the body. The propulsion system also has a duct in fluid communication with the inlet, and the duct is configured to direct the fluid along a flow path. The propulsion system further has a pump operable with the duct and controls flowing of the fluid passing through the duct to increase the velocity of the fluid or at least facilitate active flowing of the fluid passing through the duct. In addition, the propulsion system has a nozzle in fluid communication with the duct to receive the fluid, and the nozzle is supported near a side of the body and is configured to movably redirect the fluid to the outside of the UUV.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】従来の無人水中輸送手段（ＵＵＶ）は、限定的な操縦性しか有していなかったが、多軸制御と多自由度の運動を同時に制御する能力を有するＵＵＶを提供する。【解決手段】推進システムは、本体に形成された入口を備えており、この入口は、流体（例えば水）が本体の外側を囲む流体からＵＵＶ内に引き込むことを容易にする。推進システムは、同様に、入口と流体連通されたダクトを備えており、ダクトは、流体を流動経路に沿うように向けるように構成されている。さらに、推進システムは、ダクトと動作可能なポンプを備え、流体の速度を増大させるまたはダクトを通る流体の能動的な流動を少なくとも容易にするように、ダクトを通る流体の流動を制御する。また、推進システムは、ダクトと流体連通して流体を受けるノズルを備え、ノズルは、本体の側部の近くに支持され、流体をＵＵＶの外へ移動可能に再度方向付けるように構成する。【選択図】図２
