PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger detection device capable of correctly setting a seat load adjustment value and accurately detecting a passenger.SOLUTION: A control device that constitutes, along with a load sensor provided in a seat, a passenger detection device retains identification information unique to a normal load sensor in a storage area as retained identification information IDm. Furthermore, the control device acquires identification information unique to the load sensor currently provided in the seat as target identification information IDx. Moreover, the control device collates the retained identification information IDm retained in the storage area thereof with the target identification information IDx acquired from the load sensor serving as a confirmation target. When determining that the retained identification information IDm does not match the target identification information IDx, the control device executes output of a notification to the effect that a seat load adjustment value is not set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】シート荷重の調整値を正しく設定して正確な乗員検知を行うことのできる乗員検知装置を提供すること。【解決手段】シートに設けられた荷重センサとともに乗員検知装置を構成する制御装置は、正規の荷重センサに固有の識別情報を保持識別情報IDmとして記憶領域に保持する。また、制御装置は、現在、そのシートに設けられている荷重センサに固有の識別情報を対象識別情報IDxとして取得する。更に、制御装置は、その記憶領域に保持された保持識別情報IDmと確認対象となる荷重センサから取得した対象識別情報IDxとを照合する。そして、制御装置は、その保持識別情報IDmと対象識別情報IDxとが一致しないと判定した場合には、シート荷重の調整値が未設定である旨の報知出力を実行する。【選択図】図3
