PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a main body part axially compressed and deformed when a resin-made structure member for a vehicle receives an axial force.SOLUTION: A structure member 10 for a vehicle has: a resin-made main body part 14; a resin-made flange 16 which is integrally formed at an end of the main body part 14 in an axial direction, and hangs out to both sides of the main body part 14 in a thickness direction, and whose face at a side opposite to the main body part 14 side in the axial direction is made to be a joining face 16A with respect to a side member 18 (attachment object); and a resin-made hang-out part 17 which is integrally formed at the end of the main body part 14 in the axial direction, and hangs out to the other side of the main body part 14 in the thickness direction, and whose a face opposite to the main body part 14 side in the axial direction is made to be an abutment face 17A with respect to the side member 18 (attachment object), and in which the resin-made abutment face 17A continues to the joining face 16A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
