PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle periphery monitoring device that can display an image without sense of incongruity even when performing a correction for rotating an image.SOLUTION: The vehicle periphery monitoring device according to one embodiment comprises: an image acquiring portion that is provided in a vehicle and acquires photographed image data outputted from a photographing portion which photographs an image of the periphery of the vehicle; a state acquiring portion that is provided in the vehicle and acquires vehicle state data outputted from a vehicle state detecting portion which detects at least a state of roll of the vehicle; a setting portion that sets a rotation center for rotating a displayed image according to the state of roll when displaying the displayed image based on the photographed image data on a display device; an image adjusting portion that rotates a state of displaying the displayed image with the set rotation center as a center according to the state of roll; and an output portion that outputs the displayed image on the display device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

【課題】画像を回転させる修正を行っても違和感のない表示ができる車両周辺監視装置を提供する。【解決手段】実施形態の車両周辺監視装置は、車両に設けられて当該車両の周辺を撮像する撮像部から出力された撮像画像データを取得する画像取得部と、車両に設けられて少なくとも当該車両のロール状態を検出する車両状態検出部から出力された車両状態データを取得する状態取得部と、撮像画像データに基づく表示画像を表示装置に表示する場合に、ロール状態に応じて表示画像を回転させるための回転中心を設定する設定部と、設定した回転中心を中心に表示画像の表示状態をロール状態に応じて回転させる画像調整部と、表示画像を表示装置に出力する出力部と、を備える。【選択図】図４
