The invention relates to a filtration system for rail air-conditioning facilities, to be associated with a conditioned air facility, the train being able to circulate generally in areas where there may be sand storms. The conditioned air facility is directly coupled lo the filtration means formed from a common duct having two opposing inlets (4) communicating with expanded channels (3) in such a way that the two sections of the duct (2) corresponding to the two inlets (4) end mutually in a chamber (8) wherein cyclonic filters are provided for carrying out the filtration of the air and the sand. Either one of said inlets (4) can be selected automatically for the intake of clean outside air, depending on the direction of circulation of the prevailing wind and the direction of circulation of the train.
