In one example, a child seat for a vehicle has a body with a seat back, a seat surface extending forward from the seat back, and a recline foot. The tilt foot has a front end defining an engagement region for engagement with the vehicle seat and a rear end disposed rearward of the front end. The rear end is coupled with the body such that the tilt foot pivots relative to the body about a pivot axis such that the body transitions between at least one rearward tilted position and at least one forward tilted position. The rear end has a rigid portion and the seat has a deformable body attached to the rigid portion. The deformable body engages the vehicle seat and deforms under a lower force than the rigid portion.
