Aspects of the present disclosure include a light feed system for a display using micro light emitting diodes (LEDs) laminated into a light guide application glass. An exemplary display may include a light feed system having one or more micro LEDs on a backplane surface. An optical bonding collimator is located over and in direct contact with a surface of the micro LED. An optical bonding collimator is on the backplane surface. The light guide is coupled to one end of the optically coupled collimator such that the optically coupled collimator is located between the light guide and the backplane. The one or more inner reinforcement layers are in direct contact with the optical feed system, and the one or more outer layers are in direct contact with the inner reinforcement layers. An optical feed system is formed by laminating an inner reinforcement layer and an outer layer.
