The invention belongs to the technical field of tires, and particularly relates to application of a composition in a mute tire or a self-sealing mute tire. The composition comprises an ultra-high molecular weight elastomer and a low molecular weight polymer, and the weight-average molecular weight Mw of the ultra-high molecular weight elastomer is greater than or equal to 800,000 Da. The composition provided by the invention has high viscosity and modulus retention at high temperature, has high dimensional stability, and can ensure that the composition can maintain a better size in the high-speed and high-temperature running process of a tire. The composition provided by the invention has good storage stability and thermal stability, and when the composition is stored or applied to a tire for use, the viscosity and modulus change is small, so that the self-sealing performance of the composition is better ensured. The composition of the present invention has excellent and balanced flowability, outflow resistance, adhesion and suitable viscosity. In the service cycle of the tire, the bonding layer and/or the self-sealing adhesive layer formed by the composition are/is soft and cannot be broken or separated from the inner wall of the tire and the sound absorption porous material.
