A wedge driver and a method of the wedge driver are presented. The wedge driver may be operably coupled to the different ends of the link adapter to drive the wedge between the different ends to form a single linker. The wedge driver may also drive the wedge out of the link adapter. The present disclosure provides a benefit of allowing safe and efficient removal of the link adapter by preventing violent or powerful decoupling of the link adapter. The wedge driver may include a trunk portion, a first fork portion, a second fork portion, a bolt, and a driver. The drive member may be resiliently enabled such that the drive member may retract into the trunk when the bolt exits the trunk. A bolt of the wedge driver may push the driver out of the trunk to axially drive the wedge into (or out) the link adapter without rotating the wedge.
