Provided is a lighting device for a vehicle, which can fully improve the seeing leakage of a pedestrian by a driver. A vehicle illumination device (1) is provided with: a front irradiation unit (low beam unit (6)) that irradiates a front irradiation region (low beam irradiation region (19)) of a vehicle (2); a side irradiation unit (second corner lamp unit 8) that irradiates a side irradiation region (right second corner lamp irradiation region 22) on the outside of the front irradiation region in the vehicle width direction in response to a left-right turning operation by the driver of the vehicle; and a first pattern irradiation unit (front projection unit 7) that irradiates a first irradiation region (right front projection unit irradiation region 26), which partially overlaps the front irradiation region and the side irradiation region in plan view, with a light and shade mixed irradiation pattern 31 in which light regions 29 and dark regions 30 are alternately repeated. An embodiment of the present invention is provided with a second pattern irradiation unit (10) that irradiates a second irradiation region (28) that is further rearward than a side irradiation region in a light and shade mixed irradiation pattern.
