Abstract

The kit of parts comprises: an outer column and an inner column with an external thread, the outer and inner columns being rotatably locked and extendable relative to each other; a nut configured to be driven along the external thread to selectively fix the inner column relative to the outer column in a driving mode; and a driver including a driving housing accommodating the driving motor and a connector configured to connect the driving housing with the nut so as to connect the driving motor with the transmission; wherein the nut comprises: a housing; a rotatable member rotatably disposed in the housing, where the rotatable member includes an internal thread configured to form a mating engagement with the external thread; a transmission member disposed in the housing and including an input shaft connectable to the driver, where the transmission member is configured to selectively: rotate the rotatable member relative to the housing in a driving mode; and forming a coupling between the housing and the rotatable member in a manual mode, where the nut is further configured to be manually moved along the external thread, the coupling causing the rotatable member and the housing to co-rotate relative to the external thread, thereby moving the nut in a longitudinal direction along the external thread.
