The invention discloses an intelligent dynamic traffic light control method and system based on visual identification, relates to the technical field of intelligent traffic, and can dynamically regulate and control a traffic light control scheme of a traffic intersection in real time according to actual traffic conditions. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a traffic video stream of a target traffic intersection in real time; analyzing and processing the traffic video stream based on a visual identification algorithm, obtaining traffic flow data of the target traffic intersection in each direction, calling a traffic visual identification rule, and judging whether the identified traffic object is a to-be-passed object so as to obtain to-be-passed flow data of the target traffic intersection in each direction; and determining a signal lamp control scheme of a traffic light system based on a dynamic traffic light control algorithm according to the traffic flow data to be passed and the pedestrian flow data to be passed in each direction of the target traffic intersection, and controlling traffic lights of the target traffic intersection by taking the signal lamp control scheme as output. And dynamically adjusting the passing time and waiting time of the target traffic intersection in each direction.
