本发明公开了一种基于多功能水舱的船舶核动力堆舱屏蔽结构及其设计方法。本基于多功能水舱的船舶核动力堆舱屏蔽结构包括密封设置的堆舱结构、以及与堆舱结构共型设置的水舱结构，水舱内部设置屏蔽结构并填充有水二者共同起到屏蔽作用，水舱的外部设置有辐射探测器。本发明提出的基于多功能水舱的船舶核动力堆舱屏蔽结构，利用在堆舱设置多功能水舱，在满足船舶核动力及其他等系统用水需求、同时兼做屏蔽功能，形成堆舱屏蔽方案，能较好的对具有高辐射强度的反应堆及一回路进行辐射屏蔽，可在为优化舰船核动力辐射屏蔽重量、节约舰船核动力总体资源、保证运行与人员辐射安全等提供支撑。
