The invention discloses an electronic safety protection method and system. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a safety interlocking state of each column position in a target station track through an acquisition board, and sending the safety interlocking state of each column position to an intelligent cabinet; wherein the safety interlocking state comprises a power-on state and a power-off state; according to the safety interlocking state of each column, determining number states corresponding to a plurality of different teams and groups, and sending the number states corresponding to the plurality of different teams and groups to an LED display screen; and the sign states corresponding to the multiple different teams are displayed through the LED display screen, so that safety protection is carried out on operators based on the sign states corresponding to the multiple different teams. According to the embodiment of the invention, safety interlocking and safety protection can be integrated, the protection process can be visualized, the operation safety is improved, and the operation efficiency is improved.
