The invention provides a power battery high-voltage cut-off device and a working method thereof, the power battery high-voltage cut-off device comprises a first controller and a second controller, the input end of the first controller is connected with the positive electrode of a power battery, and the output end of the first controller is connected with the input end of a motor; the output end of the second controller is connected with the negative electrode of the power battery, and the input end is connected with the output end of the motor; wherein each of the first controller and the second controller comprises a photosensitive diode and a light source, the photosensitive diodes are positioned on a circuit between the power battery and the motor, and the photosensitive diodes and the light sources are arranged in a closed non-transparent shell.
