The invention relates to a vehicle-mounted display adjusting method and system based on the Helmholtz-Collabour effect, and relates to the technical field of vehicle-mounted display adjusting, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the time information of a vehicle machine, and determining a vehicle-mounted display mode based on the time information of the vehicle machine; on the basis of the vehicle-mounted display mode, white balance brightness gray scale output is obtained according to a view curve corresponding to the Helmholtz-Collabour effect; and adjusting the vehicle-mounted display based on the brightness gray scale output. According to the invention, dynamic white balance adjustment can be carried out on vehicle-mounted screen display, so that the chromaticity of the vehicle-mounted screen is always kept in an optimal state, and optimal display experience is provided for a user.
