The invention discloses a height limiting auxiliary system and method for a vehicle and application. The system comprises a control device, a display screen, a first image acquisition device arranged on a left reflective mirror support of the vehicle and a second image acquisition device arranged on a right reflective mirror support of the vehicle. The first image acquisition device is used for acquiring first image information in a first set range of a left vertex of a head cover of a vehicle; the second image acquisition device is used for acquiring second image information in a second set range of the right vertex of the head cover of the vehicle; the control device is used for acquiring and processing the first image information and the second image information and transmitting the processed first image information and second image information to the display screen; the display screen is used for displaying information transmitted by the control device. The visual effect of height-limiting observation is more visual, the success rate and speed of a vehicle passing through a height-limiting obstacle can be obviously improved, and therefore congestion of a height-limiting road section is relieved.
