本发明公开了汽车背门结构及背门开启方法，汽车背门总成由上背门总成和下背门总成构成，两者分开设置，相互独立，分别设置在车身的安装位置；所述上背门总成斜向上设置在车辆尾箱的上部，装配后形成车辆尾箱的上盖板，下背门总成竖向设置在车辆尾箱的后侧，装配后形成车辆尾箱的后挡板；所述的上背门总成，主要包括背门内板加强环总成、背门运行导轨、背门运行驱动轴、驱动电机、连接支架、盖板、背门；本发明的上背门总成和下背门总成，分别形成尾箱的上盖板和后挡板，分别在电控作用下滑移式或转动式打开，不占用较大的外部空间，缩小背门开启所需的后部空间，在汽车停放在后部空间局促的情况下仍能正常打开背门，方便取放行李。
