The invention discloses a windscreen wiper control system and method based on an automatic driving automobile, and the control system comprises a windscreen wiper unit, an automobile body controller, an automatic driving controller and a first sensing sensor, and further comprises a second sensing sensor arranged on the inner side of a front windshield of the automobile, the second perception sensor is used for collecting obstacle data on the front windshield, and the second perception sensor is connected with the automatic driving controller, so that the automatic driving controller analyzes and judges whether the definition of the front windshield is lower than a system threshold value or not according to the collected obstacle data; the automatic driving controller and the windscreen wiper unit are both connected with the automobile body controller, so that the automobile body controller can control the windscreen wiper unit to work according to the analysis and judgment result of the automatic driving controller. According to the control system, obstacles on the front windshield can be automatically scraped off in real time when the automobile is automatically driven, the accuracy of data collected by the sensing sensor is guaranteed, and therefore the safety of automatic driving of the automobile is guaranteed.
