Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of rail traffic, and discloses a rail turnout opening direction safety detection system and method, and the system comprises an information collection unit, a camera and equipment for obtaining indoor information, and the information collection unit collects outdoor turnout state information and indoor turnout state information; the interlocking unit collects the state of a relay for controlling the point switch to judge the state of the turnout; the relay is driven to control the switch machine to enable the turnout to reach a specified state; the communication unit is used for realizing information transmission between the vehicle-mounted system and ground equipment; if the detection result is abnormal, the vehicle-mounted control unit sends a braking command to stop the train; the alarm unit sends alarm information to the display unit if the detection result is abnormal; the display unit is used for displaying various types of information; and the main control unit is used for sending instructions and controlling other units. According to the invention, rapid and accurate monitoring of the turnout state of the front section is realized, and potential safety hazards caused by man-made misjudgment are avoided.
