The present invention relates to an information providing system for providing information for handling a problem to a user using an information terminal having a camera and a display, the information terminal being provided with: a specifying means for specifying a position of the problem within a captured image obtained by the camera; and a display control unit that appropriately displays, on the display, a plurality of step screens showing contents of steps for handling the question site specified by the specifying unit in accordance with a response from a user, the plurality of step screens including a first step screen, and a second step screen including a second step screen for handling the question site specified by the specifying unit. The first step screen displays, as answers to steps, a plurality of answer items selectable by a user, the plurality of answer items including an answer item relating to a state of an object and an answer item relating to a state of the user.
