A suspension thrust bearing arrangement includes a lower support cap (16), an upper bearing cap (14), and at least one bearing (18) disposed between the lower support cap (16) and the upper bearing cap (14). The upper bearing cap (14) comprises an outer skirt (14c) radially surrounding the lower support cap (16). The lower support cover (16) comprises at least one annular flange (34) extending towards an outer skirt (14c) of the upper bearing cover while remaining radially spaced from the outer skirt. The upper bearing cap (14) further comprises at least one annular rib (42) extending axially towards an upper surface (34b) of the flange of the lower support cap (16) while remaining axially spaced from the lower support cap. The rib (42) is located radially between an outer skirt (14c) of the upper bearing cap and the bearing (18).
