The invention discloses a hydrogen power system for a railway vehicle and the railway vehicle. The hydrogen power system for the railway vehicle comprises a power battery device, and a hydrogen storage device, a fuel cell device and a boosting device which are located on the top of the same compartment, the hydrogen storage device and the boosting device are located on the two longitudinal sides of the fuel cell device respectively, the hydrogen storage device is used for providing hydrogen for the fuel cell device, the fuel cell device comprises a fuel cell stack and a cooling part, the fuel cell stack is electrically connected with the boosting device, and the boosting device is further integrated with a control module. According to the scheme, the hydrogen storage device, the fuel cell and the boosting device are arranged at the top of the same compartment, wiring and pipe connecting do not need to be carried out across the compartment, a fuel cell stack and a cooling component are integrally arranged, the boosting device and the control module are integrally arranged, the integration degree is high, the space utilization rate is high, and the reliability is high.
