The invention discloses an air conditioner which comprises a chassis, wherein a driving device, an outer circulation assembly and an inner circulation assembly located between the driving device and the outer circulation assembly are arranged on the chassis, and the driving device communicates with the inner circulation assembly and the outer circulation assembly through pipeline connecting parts; an inner machine cover which is connected to the chassis, and the inner circulation assembly is located in the inner machine cover, so that the inner circulation assembly is separated from the driving device and the outer circulation assembly; and a shell which is connected to the base plate, the driving device, the outer circulation assembly and the circulation assembly are located in the shell, an outer circulation air outlet is formed in the side face of the shell, and the outer circulation air outlet communicates with the outer circulation assembly. The outer circulation air outlet is formed in the side face, close to one end of the outer circulation assembly, of the shell, so that when the outer circulation assembly conducts heat exchange air outlet, the outer circulation air outlet discharges air towards the side face, and an existing structure with an upward air outlet is changed into side face air outlet.
