Provided are a vehicle control device, a vehicle control method, and a storage medium capable of appropriately suppressing control in a scenario in which automatic lane change of a vehicle is not appropriate. The vehicle control device includes a driving controller configured to control a speed and steering of a vehicle to perform an automatic lane change, in which the driving controller limits the automatic lane change when it is detected that the vehicle is in a first area having a length of a first distance in a longitudinal direction of a road with a starting point of a specific road structure set as a reference or in a second area having a length of a second distance in the longitudinal direction of the road with an end point of the specific road structure set as a reference on the basis of information of at least one of an external recognition result and map information.

提供在车辆的自动车道变更不适当的场景中能够适当抑制控制的车辆控制装置、车辆控制方法及存储介质。一种车辆控制装置，具备控制车辆的速度及转向而进行自动车道变更的驾驶控制部，所述驾驶控制部在基于外界识别结果和地图信息中的任一方的信息而获知了所述车辆处于第一区域或第二区域的情况下，限制所述自动车道变更，所述第一区域是以特定的道路构造物的起点为基准而在道路长度方向上具有第一距离的长度的区域，所述第二区域是以所述特定的道路构造物的终点为基准而在道路长度方向上具有第二距离的长度的区域。
