The invention discloses a map information distribution system and a vehicle. The map information distribution system is a map information distribution system in which a server distributes map information to a vehicle via a telecommunication line and uses various information acquired from the vehicle to update the map information, and a vehicle includes an update control section that determines whether a condition for acquiring peripheral information of the vehicle, which is used to update the map information, is satisfied, acquires the peripheral information at timing of satisfying the condition, and transmits the acquired peripheral information to the server.

本发明公开了地图信息分发系统和车辆。根据本发明的地图信息分发系统是这样一种地图信息分发系统，其中服务器经由电信线路将地图信息分发至车辆，并且使用从所述车辆获取的各种信息来更新所述地图信息，并且所述车辆包括更新控制部，所述更新控制部判定是否满足用于获取用于更新所述地图信息的所述车辆的周边信息的条件，在满足所述条件时获取所述周边信息，并将获取的所述周边信息发送至所述服务器。
