The invention relates to a rotating mechanism for a seat elevator. The rotating mechanism comprises a seat plate, wherein a poking rod is movably connected to the seat plate; a fixed block is arranged on the poking rod; a positioning block longitudinally extends at the outer periphery of the fixed block; a mounting hole is formed in the seat plate; one end of a seat rotating block shaft sleeve fits a first thrust roller bearing, and extends outside the mounting hole; a second thrust roller bearing is matched at the outer periphery of the end, extending outside the mounting hole, of the seat rotating block shaft sleeve; the end, extending outside the mounting hole, of the seat rotating block shaft sleeve is connected with a seat fixed plate; and the seat fixed plate is fixedly connected with one side of the seat plate through a fastening piece. The rotating mechanism is simple in structure, and is provided with flanges, positioning ports and a seat poking rod to guarantee a seat to realize the rotation and the positioning corresponding to a driving main engine; when the seat elevator is operated to the terminal of a guide rail, no gap is formed between legs of passengers and a corridor plane to prevent the slip falling condition of the passengers; and meanwhile, a traditional guide rail extending to the corridor plane can be saved, so that the space in a corridor is saved.
